Frequently asked questions

Is the Kanban Game free?

It is. Playing costs nothing and only asks for an account, which also unlocks the interactive experiences, the learning paths and the community.

Do I need to know Kanban to play?

No. The training scenario explains the rules as you play, and the in-game coach turns each wrong move into a short lesson. Later scenarios assume what the previous one taught.

How long does a match take?

About fifteen minutes. Training is shorter, and advanced scenarios usually ask for more decision time rather than more play time.

Does it work on a phone?

It runs in a phone browser, but the experience is better on a large screen: the board has four stages and several charts beside it.

How is the score calculated?

From the flow you actually ran: value delivered, cycle time, respect for WIP limits and predictability. The calculation is replayed on the server from your moves, so a score cannot be forged from the browser.

Can I play more than once?

As many times as you like. The ranking keeps your best score, so replaying is about improving the result, not accumulating points by volume.

Can I use it in team training?

You can. The usual format is everyone playing the same scenario in parallel and then comparing decisions. The differences in outcome tend to spark more discussion than the theory does.
